Wadi Shab is one of the most spectacular short hikes in the Middle East. You cross a river by boat, walk through a narrow gorge flanked by towering cliffs, and eventually swim through a cave to reach a hidden waterfall pool. The whole loop takes 3–4 hours and is accessible to most fitness levels.
Trail highlights
- Hidden waterfall cave pool
- Turquoise canyon water
- Dramatic cliff walls
- Boat crossing at start
Field notes
Start early to beat the heat and the crowds. Bring water shoes — you'll be wading. The cave swim at the end is optional but unmissable.
